Formesse has been producing premium jersey textiles in the German Black Forest for over 75 years. The Bella Donna bathrobe applies the same material philosophy to the bathroom that made their fitted sheets exceptional — a precisely engineered three-layer construction, finished and certified in Germany.
The robe is knitted in Formesse’s signature lozenge jacquard pattern. The diamond weave is built directly into the fabric structure — not printed or applied. The result is a surface with real texture and depth that holds its appearance wash after wash.
41% Cotton, 35% Lyocell, 24% Polyester
The material blend is deliberate and functional. Cotton provides softness and absorbency at the surface. Lyocell — derived from sustainably sourced wood pulp — actively absorbs moisture and releases it into the air, keeping the robe feeling fresh and dry during extended wear. Furthermore, Lyocell is naturally smooth against the skin and inhibits the formation of bacteria and odours.
The 24% polyester acts as an internal lining layer — the same construction used in Formesse’s Bella Donna Summer Blanket. It allows warmth and moisture to circulate through the fabric rather than accumulating. As a result, the robe is comfortable across a wider temperature range than a standard single-layer terry robe.
White — Clean, Considered, Timeless
White in a lozenge jacquard reads differently from white in a plain terry robe. The diamond pattern catches light across the surface and creates subtle visual depth without colour. It coordinates naturally with any bathroom textile and suits every interior style.
