Society Limonta

Society Limonta is an Italian home linen brand founded in 2000 in Costa Masnaga, in the province of Lecco. It belongs to Limonta, a textile group that has been weaving fabrics since 1893.

The brand is best known for garment dyeing. Society Limonta was the first to use this method for home linens: each piece is dyed after it is sewn, not before. As a result, the fabric is soft from the first use, and every colour has small, natural variations.

The collections are made from natural fibres such as cotton, linen and alpaca. They are developed within a local production chain, with the support of the Limonta archive of more than 15,000 jacquard designs and 100,000 textile prints.

Society Limonta does not sell matching sets. Instead, it invites you to mix textures and colours: a cotton voile bedspread over linen sheets, for example, or an alpaca throw at the foot of the bed.
