Description
The Pallone PA is one of those rare designs that earns its place in a room without trying. Created by Roy de Scheemaker for Leolux in 1989, it was built around a single idea: a floating cushion you could actually sit in. The form has never needed updating.
Earth tones that work together
Sand bouclé covers the seat — warm, textured, and substantial. Terracotta leather wraps the backrest, bringing depth and colour without overwhelming the room. Together they read as a cohesive palette rather than a contrast, making this one of the more versatile configurations in the Pallone range.
Considered construction
The spherical seat sits on a chrome steel tube frame with slim legs that keep the silhouette light despite the chair’s generous proportions. Dimensions are 86 cm wide × 84 cm deep × 73 cm high, seat height 45 cm. Moulded foam throughout for lasting shape and support.
A recognised design classic
Leolux has been making the Pallone to order in the Netherlands since 1989. In that time it has collected the “Beste Nederlandse Meubelontwerp,” “Designpreis Schweiz,” and “Good Industrial Design” awards, among others.
