Description
Where Colour and Craft Meet
Look at the Wild Safari closely and you will see lions, zebras, elephants, and hippos scattered across a warm white ground — each one rendered in full colour, with visible depth and tonal variation. None of this is printed. Every animal, every colour, every shading detail is built directly into the chenille weave during production. The result is a towel that is also, genuinely, a piece of textile art.
Up to 18 Colours in a Single Design
Most textile manufacturers work with a handful of dye colours per product. Feiler is the only weaving company in Germany capable of producing brightly woven chenille with up to 18 colours incorporated into a single design — and those colours must be determined before production begins. Each colour in the Wild Safari pattern represents a separate yarn that must be correctly positioned in the warp before the loom begins. This is not a process that can be rushed or scaled cheaply. It requires the kind of technical precision and pre-production planning that only a manufacturer with nearly a century of chenille expertise can sustain.
How the Colour Is Locked In
Before the preparatory fabric is created, every yarn batch undergoes a thorough quality check — tested for yarn fineness, exact moisture content, abrasion resistance, tensile strength, and colour accuracy. This happens before a single thread is woven. As a result, the colours in the finished towel are structurally stable — they are part of the fabric, not applied to it. Feiler’s genuine chenille is distinguished by high levels of absorbency and colour fastness. Colour fastness means the towel holds its vibrancy through repeated washing at 60°C. The animals on the Wild Safari look the same after three years of use as they do on the day you take it out of the packaging.
Made Entirely in Germany
Feiler produces its genuine chenille at its production site in Hohenberg an der Eger, combining state-of-the-art technology with traditional craftsmanship — entirely Made in Germany. Every step — from yarn quality checks to weaving to finishing — happens in one place, under consistent oversight. This is why Feiler can guarantee the construction quality that underpins every product in the range.
