Description

The Christian Fischbacher Grace bed linen set is a true masterpiece of jacquard weaving. Its rich taupe-gold palette — shimmering with tones of gold, silver, and rose — makes it one of the most opulent and visually striking bed linen sets in the Christian Fischbacher collection.

The magnificent paisley motif is woven in Italy by one of the finest weaving houses in the world. Warp and weft threads are so cleverly interwoven that the fabric achieves a deep, multicoloured effect with an unmistakably luxurious presence.

Made from 100% pure cotton, the jacquard fabric combines visual richness with natural comfort — breathable, durable, and sumptuously soft to the touch. The OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification guarantees the fabric is completely free from harmful substances.

FAQ

What is jacquard weave, and how is it different from a printed or embroidered pattern?

Jacquard is a method of weaving in which the pattern is created by the loom itself — different coloured threads are raised and suppressed according to a programmed sequence, building the design directly into the fabric structure as it is woven. The result is a pattern that exists in three dimensions within the cloth: you can feel the motif as a subtle relief when you run your hand across the surface, and the design has a depth and luminosity that neither print nor embroidery can replicate. In a taupe-gold colourway, this is particularly striking — the two tones shift and interchange depending on the angle of light, giving the set a quietly opulent quality that changes through the day. It is also exceptionally durable: because the pattern is structural rather than applied, it cannot crack, peel, fade independently, or wear away from the surface.

What is the significance of “Italian paisley weave” — why Italy, and what does paisley bring to a bedroom?

Italy, alongside Switzerland, is one of the world’s foremost centres of high-end jacquard weaving — Italian mills have centuries of accumulated expertise in producing complex figured fabrics for fashion and interiors, and Christian Fischbacher draws on that tradition for the Grace collection. Paisley is one of the oldest decorative motifs in textile history, originating in Persia and refined through centuries of European production into the layered, curved teardrop form seen here. In a bedroom context its effect is one of considered grandeur without severity — the organic curves of paisley are inherently softer than geometric patterns, creating a sense of richness that reads as welcoming rather than formal. Against the taupe-gold palette, the result is a set that suits both contemporary and classical bedroom aesthetics.

Why is this duvet cover 240×220cm rather than the more common 200×220cm, and does it matter?

The 240×220cm format is the wider of the two standard European duvet cover sizes, designed for beds from 180cm width upward where a 200cm cover would leave the sides of the duvet partially exposed. On a king or super-king bed, the extra 40cm of width means the duvet falls properly over both sides without being stretched across the top surface — a detail that matters both aesthetically and functionally, since a cover that is too narrow gradually pulls the duvet insert out of position overnight. For a jacquard set like the Grace, where the full pattern needs room to be appreciated, the larger format also allows the paisley composition to read as it was designed — compressed onto a narrower cover, the repeat would feel crowded.

At 2,950₾, what specifically justifies the Grace set over other patterned bed linen at lower price points?

Jacquard weaving is one of the most technically complex and time-consuming methods of fabric production — each colour change in the pattern requires individual thread control across the full width of the loom, which limits production speed and demands skilled oversight throughout. Combined with 100% cotton as the base fibre and Italian mill production standards, the Grace set represents a convergence of craft, material, and heritage that simply cannot be replicated at volume production prices. Patterned bed linen at the mass-market level is almost always printed — the pattern is a surface treatment on an ordinary base fabric. Here, the pattern and the fabric are one object. At Sleep Gallery’s showroom in Vake, Tbilisi, you can see the Grace set in person and feel the difference that jacquard construction makes compared to printed alternatives — our consultants can also help you coordinate it with other pieces in the collection. Free delivery across Tbilisi included.
