Koinor
Koinor is a German upholstery maker from Michelau, in Upper Franconia, Bavaria. Horst Müller registered the company in 1953, and its name comes from the famous Koh-i-Noor diamond. Today Koinor makes its sofas and armchairs at its own plants in the region.
Leather is at the heart of the brand. In 1974, Koinor made its first high-quality leather furniture, and it became one of the first industrial leather specialists in Germany. It now offers many leather types, from smooth, even nappa to robust buffalo leather with a hand-rubbed vintage look. Every leather is tested against the strict quality rules of the German furniture association DGM.
Since 2004, Koinor has also built functional furniture. Its recliners combine electric motors, adjustable head pieces and armrests that move with the seat. Some models also add a massage program or a rising aid.
Production is modern as well: since 2018 it has been fully digital, and digital cutters now cut the leather with very little waste.
Sleep Gallery carries Koinor recliner armchairs. Come and try them in our showroom at 24 Irakli Abashidze Street in Vake, Tbilisi.
