Cashmere, merino wool, alpaca, mohair, angora, and down are among the most precious natural fibres used in premium bedding and blankets — and they require a detergent that specifically understands their fibre chemistry. Intervall Tenemoll is a specialist washing concentrate custom-made for these exceptional materials, recommended by leading cashmere manufacturers including Iris von Arnim, Fedeli Cashmere, and Princess-goes-Hollywood.
The key to wool and cashmere care is a property most detergents actively remove: lip-replenishment. Wool fibres contain natural lipids in their structure that are responsible for their characteristic softness, fluffiness, and the pleasant feel against the skin. Standard detergents strip these lipids — leaving wool feeling scratchy and dry. Tenemoll contains lipid-replenishing ingredients that restore and maintain the fibre’s natural lipid content during washing, preserving its fluffiness and preventing the scratchy feel that repeated standard washing produces.
At the same time, Tenemoll contains no softeners — which is equally important. Softeners coat the wool fibre from outside, causing it to lose its original shape and widen over time. Tenemoll nourishes the fibre from within through lipid replenishment without adding external coating.
Down is also specifically suited to Tenemoll care — wash on a wool programme at maximum 30°C, spin, and tumble dry with tennis balls until completely dry. Reshake after cooling.
Stain pre-treatment: dab with Tenemoll, leave 15 minutes, then wash. Use cold or lukewarm water. Soak 10 minutes, press gently — do not rub. Lay flat or on hanger to dry, away from direct heat or sunlight. Completely biodegradable. Produced in Germany by Intervall since 1983.
