The Kishu Binchotan LGY is the light grey colourway of Uchino’s activated charcoal towel line โ identical in construction, material, and function to the black version, with a softer, more neutral tone that suits a wider range of bathroom interiors.
The light grey works particularly well in bathrooms with white, stone, or timber finishes โ it has enough tonal presence to read as a deliberate colour choice rather than a default, without the high contrast of the black against lighter surfaces. The charcoal content in the rayon fibre gives the grey a subtly heathered, textured appearance that flat-dyed cotton cannot replicate.
The construction is 87% cotton and 13% charcoal rayon, with Kishu Binchotan activated carbon powder from Ubame oak kneaded directly into the rayon fibre during spinning. The result is a deodorising function that is structural rather than surface-applied โ it resets with every wash and does not diminish over time.
