The Kishu Binchotan towel is woven with cotton and rayon yarn containing extra-fine coal powder. Its characteristic gray color obtained without coloring is due to coal. The microscopic pores on the surface of the coal absorb the molecules that cause odours, and provide excellent deodorizing properties.
