Pohjanmaan

Pohjanmaan is a Finnish family company that has made upholstered furniture since 1964. Pentti Viitala started it by making upholstered sofas on his family farm in Ostrobothnia, and the factory is still in Kurikka, in the same region. Every sofa and armchair is made by hand, on a solid wood frame joined in the traditional carpentry way.

Each model comes in many fabrics, leathers and leg options. The recliners can have a hand lever, a metal handle or a battery motor, plus the adjustable Ergo headrest. At Sleep Gallery you can see a collection of Pohjanmaan armchairs.
